The mentoring component of AIM for Youth addresses two essential elements – personal and professional. The personal component engages youth in areas related to their personal and family functioning including self improvement, self-worth, family well-being and intra-family relationship. The professional aspect of mentoring engages youth in areas related to educational and employment goals. This component provides improvement in areas such as communication, leadership, and interpersonal interaction.
